Medicare & Referrals

You may be eligible for Medicare rebates for exercise physiology services with a valid GP referral under a Chronic Disease Management Plan.

We also work alongside GPs and other allied health professionals to ensure your program is aligned with your overall care.

  • Yes. When prescribed correctly, exercise is one of the most effective tools for managing many chronic conditions and improving quality of life.

  • To access Medicare rebates for exercise physiology, you’ll need to visit your GP and ask about a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan (sometimes called an EPC referral).

    If you’re eligible, your GP can refer you for up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year, which may include exercise physiology.

    The process is simple:

    1. Book an appointment with your GP

    2. Discuss your chronic condition and suitability for a CDM plan

    3. Request a referral to an Accredited Exercise Physiologist

    Once you have your referral, you can book an appointment and begin your program. If you’re unsure, feel free to get in touch and we can guide you through the process.

  • No. Programs are tailored to your current ability, and we start at a level that feels safe and manageable.

  • We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.

  • Move You Exercise Physiology is committed to assisting those with chronic conditions, as such there is no gap fee charged. There may be a travel fee charged, if the session is held more than 10km from MYEP headquarters.
